How to Get Tons Done in the First Week of the New Year
Don’t get Guitar Hero for xmas. That’s pretty much it.
Also the washing machine does this: blue, blue, yellow, green, blue.
And “The Story of My Life” by Social D is always in my head.
Also Beth is a Guitar prodigy.
Enjoy your productive lives.

This seems familiar. We discovered Guitar Hero via my niece this Christmas. I’m only spending time writing this comment because we left the game behind in Pittsburgh…

We’ve held out against the temptations of Guitar Hero and the Wii so far, but I am losing ground fast. Every time I play something at my brother’s (he’s a video game addict) I am left wanting more. It’s sucking me in….

Now you need Rock Band. Then you can play guitar at the same time, or release your inner diva or drummer. The other nice thing about Rock Band is that the “hard” level doesn’t seem as hard as it did on GH leaving me with improved self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. I switched to lead guitar and Rich is on bass now. It’s a better fit.
Ooh! And the variety of outfits on Rock Band is much better.

I’m with mindee. We got RockBand on Christmas Eve and it is a way better multiplayer game than GH. Only now our plumbing project now sits idly by while my husband and I rock out. And I’m with you that GHIII is HARD on hard, unlike GH (kept us from laundry room project) and GHII (slowed down running cablevision and internet to each room) and GH Rocks the 80’s (prevented us from cutting down annoying trees in backyard while it was still nice out).
I think these games were made by the contractors who hate DIY’ers. Sigh. Don’t even get we started on what got delayed by the purchase of a Wii.

Ooooh – I want Rocks the 80’s.
Meri, Just use it as an incentive for a really nasty/boring project. As soon as it’s done you get to buy RockBand and go on tour.
You owe it to the world.

Okay, so I’m wondering if this couldn’t be a weight-losing aid! So….if we’re all busy playing Guitar Hero (or its ilk), there’s no time to think about food? No time to be tempted to eat when we shouldn’t? Perhaps WW should promote the Wii!
